So what’s the cube? The cube is simply modular shelving and assorted furniture. It’s strong, sturdy, and comes in a variety of colors. The “green” claim to fame here is that this super strong product is made of recycled paper. The paper is made into a corrugated particleboard and the end result is a VERY strong material (read our previous review HERE).

Way Basics Eco Storage Triple Cube Plus
The price of a single cube is just over $20. Can that be any less offensive? You really start to see a value over traditional particleboard furniture when you get into the bigger Way Basic sets.
When you multiply the Way Basics Cube Triple Storage Plus by three, you get a great solution for any room in your home. Need a bookshelf in the living room? A storage unit for the bathroom? A toy cubby for the kid’s room? And that’s just a start. Who knew that limitless possibilities could live inside this oh-so-basic storage unit? If you need simple, economical, basic furniture that’s practical and versatile, Way Basics rocks! You can purchase HERE.

Interesting material! I wonder if anything like it is available at hardware stores for people who like to build their own furniture.

I’m not quite sure you can find something like this at the hardware store ( although love DYI’s). It took Way Basic 10 years to perfect the building-block zBoards. Their patented, environmentally sound manufacturing process turns post-consumer recycled paper into super strong boards that weigh 62% less than particle board.
Kind of tricky to do yourself.
