The internet has made it much easier to buy recycled items, as well as find the latest in hip, cool and fashionably reclaimed products for the eco-conscious consumer. There are many creative and conscious artisans that use waste to create innovative recycled items. On of my new favourites are these recycled glasses made of old car windows.
These substantial stem-less wine glasses will add an interesting twist to any glass of wine and please everyone from the environmentalist to the car enthusiast.
Another fav would have to be these recycled “feed” and “rice” bags.
This fair trade bag epitomizes both vibrant style and dignity, wouldn’t you agree?
Pack’em up and carry the whole bundle with you to the supermarket. Each bag holds the equivalent of 2 supermarket plastic bags, but they look so much better and more importantly, won’t end up in the ocean or landfill! If we all incorporated recycled items like these into our lives, think about how we would reduce the carbon footprint.
I don’t have any children, but if I did, I would definitely have one of these cool baby totes. They are a great alternative to traditional baby bags.
The ReRun Messenger is made out of recycled plastic bottle fabric. Each bag keeps ten (10) 600ml plastic water bottles out of landfills.
If you like the idea of recycled plastic bottle bags, but you are without offspring, you can still go out in eco-friendly style with this messenger bag made of recycled plastic bottles!
