ASUS has created an eco-minded, dashing EcoBook. A great deal of thought went into the design of the EcoBook, as the enclosure features interchangeable, (and biodegradable), panels, silver keyboard / trackpad, and a nifty powergear performance button.
The exterior of the new notebooks is made from bamboo material and the notebooks’ batteries have also gone green by having a 35 to 70 percent longer life span when compared to other notebooks, thanks to its super hybrid engine.

ASUS will be releasing two versions of the bamboo notebook, an 11.1-inch model and a 12.1-inch model. Both will include a 0.3 mega pixel web camera, 8 in 1 card reader, Windows Vista installed, a super multi double layer DVD drive and an Intel core 2 duo processor. While both will have an Intel core 2 duo processor, they will however both be different models.
This is a major milestone for ASUS and the IT industry. ASUS’S Bamboo Series is proof that it’s possible to meet the demands of modern technology while being eco-friendly and going green!
The pricing and availability of the ASUS Bamboo notebooks have not been announced yet.
