I thought I would pick out my fav top 10 “eco” books just in case you were wondering where to start reading about about the environment. If you do end up shopping for a book, I recommend both Cradle to Cradle (one of my favs) and The Lazy Environmentalist . There are tons of books on these subjects, which can make picking a select few a challenging taskā¦hope this helps!
1. An Inconvenient Truth, by Al Gore. You’ve seen the movie. Now read the book.
2. The Lazy Environmentalist. Your Guide to Easy, Stylish, Green Living, by Josh Dorfman.
3. Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, by William McDonough and Michael Braungart. A revolutionary call to produce, use and reuse products in ways that mimic nature’s own cycles of regeneration.
4. Silent Spring, by Rachel Carson.
5. Natural Capitalism, by Paul Hawken, Amory B. Lovins.
6. The Ecology of Commerce, by Paul Hawken.
7. Green Remodeling Book, by David Johnston and Kim Master. Renovation just got a little less stressful with Green Remodeling. An invaluable resource for homeowners, contractors and architects.
8. It’s Easy Being Green: A Handbook for Earth-Friendly Living, by Crissy Trask. Present-day trends include disappearing wilderness and farmland, irresponsible consumerism, the poisoning of our waterways, species decline and an arguably corrupt political system.

9. The Consumer’s Guide to Effective Environmental Choices: Practical Advice from the Union of Concerned Scientists, by Michael Brower, Warren Leon.

10. Design Like You Give a Damn: Architectural Responses to Humanitarian Crises, by Architecture for humanity, Kate Stohr.
