Nationally acclaimed San Fran architect Nick Noyes just designed the FLEXAHOUSE in partnership with the very cool website, “Houseplans.” FLEXAHOUSE is an eco-friendly, kit-of-parts plan that comes in 3 and 4 bedroom variations, in I, L, and T-shapes to suit different lot sizes and configurations, for a total of 6 different plans.
FLEXAHOUSE offers eco-designs that are flexible and conform to varying site conditions such as local solar orientation and other particularities. Nick designed it on a 16-inch grid for maximum construction efficiency and minimum construction waste.
Plans by solar environmental architect David Wright, AIA are also in Houseplans Exclusive Studio Collection. David has designed over 500 passive solar and alternative construction buildings. His work, which combines understanding of regional traditions with expertise in solar technology, has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, Los Angeles Times Home, and Sunset Magazine. He received the “Passive Solar Pioneer for 2007″ award from the American Solar Energy Society. His most recent book is The Passive Solar Passive Solar Primer: Sustainable Architecture.
Houseplans makes home design affordable by using resources on the Web to streamline what people want. Often designing a house can be a very complex process. Now with these great eco additions, you can build your green dream home with much less stress.
