The site is a meeting ground for greenies and eco-conscious singles that care about living a holistic lifestyle closer to nature. EcoDater offers members all sorts of cool tools as part of their online community to help find like-minded individuals.

Members of the site include self-described environmentalists, vegans, vegetarians, organic farmers, yoga and outdoor enthusiasts, holistic healers, herbalists and activists. Two membership options are available. People can join at no cost and create a profile with a photo; they’re also allowed the freedom to search and contact other free EcoDater members and post EcoPolls to their profile. And for a fee, Premium members can post an unlimited number of photos, access advanced functions, contact all other EcoDaters, and have top priority in the search results. They also have access to the proprietary EcoMatch feature, an algorithm that matches members based on profile data.

EcoDater donates a portion of all membership revenue to charitable organizations, including the National Resources Defense Council, World Wildlife Fund, and American Forests. Of course, there are those people out there whom issues like global warming are last on their list of priorities. But it’s something we’re all going to have to face, so we might as well get on board sooner rather than later. After all, no one wants to be stranded on a piece of ice all alone.
