Recycled Wine Barrel Jewelry for Eco Deal of Day

by Kristen Banker on October 20, 2009 in Eco Friendly

There are so many eco-friendly gift options available today… and you don’t have to be a self-professed tree hugger to appreciate them.

These days cufflinks aren’t quite the hot item they were many years ago. But the popularity of television shows like Mad Men are helping bring back the glamour. And they aren’t just for men. I love adding a pair of cufflinks to an eco hip button down.

Wine Barrell Cufflinks

These handsome cufflinks are handmade from recycled oak barrels used to store red wine. A subtle and interesting piece for any wine enthusiast.

If you’re not into cufflinks, but are into wine, this pendant necklace is handmade from recycled oak barrels too. And also makes for a great gift. These items are available at Uncommongoods and happen to both be on sale. However, both items have been discontinued. When they sell out, they will no longer be available. So head on over and pick your pleasure before they’re all gone. Cufflinks originally $120.00 on sale for $79.95. Pendant originally $65.00, on sale for $39.95.

That’s a pretty nifty idea with respect to the wine barrel recycling. I myself still use cuff links. I’ve always liked the style they add to my suits.

Yeah, cufflinks rock. Especially when they are eco-cool like these are. Let me know if you pick up a pair and rock them with a suit!
